Well, it’s Labor Day, and the official end of summer. Time to head back to school, start pulling out the Halloween decorations and start making those holiday travel plans. Ugh!! Me, I’m looking forward to the cool of winter, and being able to cover up my smushiness with a comfy sweatshirt!
We are not doing much of anything today, catching up on work, homework, and staying inside where it is air conditioned. Like much of the country, Southern California is currently experiencing a heat wave, and in our little area of town, where it rarely gets above 90 degrees, it hit 99 today. Mmm, so fun. So, we keep the dogs in and quiet, cause going out to potty is about all any of us can handle. Today I worked on Karma’s page - check it out in the dog pages on the right.
I started back to school last week - yup, going to college. Starting at a local community college, with the ultimate goal of going to vet school. Strange after 15 years to be sitting in a classroom. So far it’s been ok, you have your usual groups of fresh out of high school kids that are there just goofing around, but there are plenty of real grown ups going back, too. I take Dyson to school with me, and he’s been a dream. He’s so good, and there are four other Service Dogs on campus, so everyone is really polite and doesn’t bother the dogs too much. I’ll be adding more on Dyson’s job on his page.
Wish me luck, this school thing is a little scary. I have to go to homework now, but I hope all of you have a great weekend, and have a lovely fall!
