Dog Training….Unraveled

Jester’s adventures

We went to a lovely little place called the Schoolhouse Creek Inn for our honeymoon earlier this year. I had dreamed of a place where we could take the dogs, someplace near the woods, like a little cabin by the lake where it would be just us. When I saw the ad for this place in the Bark magazine, I knew that was where I wanted to go. Not near a lake, but walking distance to the ocean - even better! Dog friendly, we even took the cat! A place that catered to pet lovers with a basket full of toys, and our own private backyard - this was the best part, being able to let them out in the morning and not have to leash them up or worry about who we’d run into. Our second day there, we took the dogs to the beach, a great little private cove that we had all to ourselves. As you can see, it’s the scenery right out of a fairy tale - well, mine anyway.

The dogs ran, played ball, Dyson of course crashed into the freezing January ocean, cause that’s what he does. Teak played ball and tried to keep her feet dry, and Jester did what Jester does. I don’t always know what that is, but he is always busy.

Jester wandered off, and here is his first adventure of the weekend. Sorry, but you’ll have to click on these pics to make them big so you can see him cause he was very far away.

Where the hell is he going? What exactly is in his head that he needs to climb all the way up there? Intrigued, I continued taking pictures, wondering if I would have to wade in and rescue him. I’m sure he has a plan though, let’s just see.

Well, of course, he had to poop. Forgive me, I didn’t climb up to bag that one.
